From cure to healing – the rediscovery of spirit and hope

Health care has changed greatly in the past fifty years. The expectations of both health professionals and patients have also changed. This will be an exploration of that journey and the need for continued growth and the rediscovery of spirit in heath.

What are cure and healing about and how do they affect both doctors and patients? What is good care about when it demands contemplation, bearing witness to suffering and appropriate treatment of body mind and spirit.? Accepting human limits allows for uncertainty, mystery and wonder which are important in the human journey – how can we encourage this? What does hope mean and how is it enabled?

It will be an interactive session.
